4.07 Beta 1

I have just downloaded v4.07 Beta and installed it. On first run, without choosing any folder I got this error message



When I chose to Close Konvertor I got an exception error.

Subsequently I could not get Konvertor to run, either by double clicking the desktop icon or double clicking Konvertor.exe in the programme directory.

I then attempted to uninstall Konvertor and got this error



I could get no response by clicking on Abort, Retry and Ignore.
I had to use the Task Manager to close my uninstaller.
I will reboot my computer later and try again.

I have rebooted and tried to run Konvertor .......... no joy !
I tried to uninstall it with my uninstaller (Your Uninstaller Pro) ......... no joy !
I tried to uninstall it with the uninsta.exe file in the Programme folder ........... no joy.
I had to close Konvertor with the Task Manager.

These are the error messages I got while I was doing this.




v4.06 build 11 would not run either !

I finally got 4.07 Beta 1 to run but I can't get 4.06 Build 11 to run.
4.07 Beta 1 takes a very long time to run but once running it's very fast displaying thumbnails. I'd estimate it's about 2-3 times faster than the previous version.
The extras in 4.07 Beta 1 (file formats, the Jump list {I never use it !}) are of no real use to me but it's nice to see Konvertor is still being developed

I tested on XP 32 bits, Win7 32 and 64 bits and did not encounter any problem in the install process.
I can't reproduce what you got, sorry.

Don't worry Jean. I have 4.07 Beta 1 working OK. I'm just about to bring into service a new computer with Windows 7 Ultimate x64 by which time 4.07 should be out of Beta and (hopefully) fully working.
I just can't start 4.06 Build 11

Is there anywhere I can look for any kind of log file which will tell you what went wrong ?
